Aborting XP Home setup

I have been trying to reinstall XP Home (because the IE
SP1 Knowledgebase told me this is what I must do), but I
keep getting a "blue screen" on ctoss2k.sys, which is a
Soundblaster Audigy driver (this is during the hardware
installation phase). So, I'm giving up, and I'll do
without the SP. However, I can't abort the setup! No
matter how I try to boot, it keeps trying to resume setup,
which leads back to the blue screen. A vicious circle!
Help!
 
Pull out the soundcard until setup finishes. Then replace
it and install the drivers for it.
