Hi
Anyone had this problem??
I am running Win98 and IE6. I can connect OK to the
internet and pickup my pop3 mail but I cant browse (most
of the time)
However just occasionally I can browse OK!
I have deinstalled TCP/IP and dial up net working and re-
installed it and also checked all the dll files and they
are correct.
I think it is down to the config info TCP/IP picks up
when it makes the connection.
I have 2 DNS servers configured and when I do winipcfg to
display the TCP/IP details I dont get the same details as
my config.
Finally when I ping www.yahoo.com I get the
reply "destination net unreachable"
However as I said earlier occasionally I can ping and
browse OK and I can always pick up my pop3 mail
Question - where is the dial up client picking up these
details from ??
If I could force it to pick up the right DNS server and
default gateway every time I think I would be OK
