I have just installed Windows XP Home Edition. Whenever a program
is running, naturally the name appears in the taskbar. HOWEVER, if I
access the internet through IE6 (I also tired IE7), The only thing
that appears in the tray is the frist letter of the site. For
instance, if I go to Google, only the letter "G" appears in the tray.
I'm sure there must be some setting that needs changing. Can anyone
help. Thanks in advance.

Thanks so much. Your link helped me solve the problem. All I had to do
was to uninstall the Google toolbar, and re-install it. Thanks again.
