Aarghh! Deleted photos - help!

In our Documents and Settings folder (WinXP Pro) we have a few people
listed there in their own folders.
Person A
Person B
Person C
But today, there were extra folders:
Person A
Person A.[computer name]
Person B
Person B.[computer name]
Person C
Person C.[computer name]

I deleted those folders thinking they were not needed (nope - they are
not in the recycle bin) and one of the users had photos in her folder.
They are not in the camera, so I am desperately looking for a (freeware
as we are non-profit, non-salaried) solution to get back her photos.
I am guessing a System Restore won't help as they are data files.
Ideas anyone?

Do not use the PC more than absolutely nescessary
so that deleted files are not overwritten

So, on another PC, download
http://www.collina.us/files/REST2514.htm
REST2514.EXE 193 KB

Extract the program to a floppy or USB-memory_stick, and run the program from
there.

Restoration
Restore files which are deleted from the recycle bin by mistake.
[OS] Windows 95 Windows 98 Windows Me Windows NT Windows 2000
Windows XP
Freeware
