AAC/MP4, Tag reading and folder woes

I have a couple of Q's...

1. I saw there a link to get MP10 to play aac (mp4) tracks, will that help
Media center play them? I have some because I ripped them with winamp and
ripping to aac was going faster than to mp3.

2. Is there a plugin so that when you are viewing files (e.g. in my music)
using the "details" view, you can read the information stored in them? e.g.
the mp3 tags are readable and artist, title, album etc. show up in the
details, but nothing for the aac/mp4 tracks. Also, (this is prolly a
find-out-formyself-easily one) can I select tracks by Other fields rather
than filename? Currently typing when in that folder (any folder really) it
selects things by filename. way around this? Does dragging the desired field
to be before filename field work?

3. My "My Music" folder causes explorer to crash. If i rename it to anything
(say, put an extra space in the middle) it opens fine. Remove all files to a
diff folder, rename the original BACk to my music and it opens. Put a SINLE
MEDIA FILE in there, crash. Any ideas other than leaving the folder renamed?
And how to i get the folder icon back to its original My Music icon (folder
with a musical note)

Thanks :) -Kamron

So no-one can help me?

Basically: My Music folder crashes when it is called My Music. Want solution
other than renaming, or explanation as to cause (please :P)

What can I do to make a media center PC play aac tracks, as it currently
won't recognize them

Is there a way to enable windows explorer to read AAC track information, as
opposed to just mp3/wma/others.

- Kamron.
