I finally decided that I was sick of inkjets with their blockages. I
have tied all the tricks. But my usage needs; little a rare, simply do
not suit the inkjet.
I started to look at laser. There are BW units now for a couple of
hundred bucks, and colour units for $500. However, I start oto read
reviews and find that units such as the HP 2600n have had enoprmous
problems, and wait foir it, the toner cartridge costs as much as the
printer. SOunds like they are doing what they did to inkjest only
faster.
I have also read here that the Canon stuff is better in inkjet, with
less clogging and separate tanks. But then there is the complaint that
cartrodges are small and $$, apparently because Canon is aimed at
photo stuff (Pixma printers), and guarantee their inks for years etc.
I would happily buy a printer that did NOT do photos (I mean I can get
my snaps done at 30c each!). But given that I had finally settled to
Canon, I am worried about consumable costs.
Help?
