I have a user who has installed A97 after A2K on Win2K. Normally, this does
work, but in this case the user is getting Memory faults (GPF).

What is the suggested procedure now?

David, I've installed in that order on several setups, and not had that
problem. Broken ActiveX controls, "No licence" bug, and the usual messy
reinstall-on-version-switch, but not GPFs.

Correct versions referenced (esp dao)?
Service packs?
Any duplicate dlls on the drive?
Presumably the two installs are in different folders?
Does it help to remove mso from Start Menu | Programs | Startup?
Is there a specific trigger for the GPF?

You are probably aware of michka's article on coexistence of these two
versions at:

If the user is getting an "out of memory" error....

Search for the hatten.ttf font.
Rename it. i.e. hatten.bak

Open the control panel..Add/Change Software...and do a reinstall of Office97
( you will need your disk)
This often corrects the out of memory problem.
