Upgraded my machine to a7v8x-x with AMD 1800+ T'bread.
Had BIOS 1003 running and intermittently machine would just
reboot (didn't look like a heat problem CPU 47C MOBO 35C)
and Win2k said something about "bugcheck" in it's logs.
Machine would reboot every few minutes but sometimes as long as
a few hours it could would run between reboots.

Well, upgraded to BIOS 1005 and it has been stable for 1.5 days
without a reboot. I want to declare victory here, but I can't believe
just upgrading BIOS solved the problem. I am new to this but is this
something that can happen??????

It could. I have 1005 and my PC is stable. If it does it again
though, run a program called memtest86 and it will tell you if you
have faulty memory. You could upgrade to the newest Nivida all in one
drivers 2.45, if you already haven't done so. Prime95 is a program
that has some diagnostic features too (I think).
