Hi

Out on the downloads site for this board, at

xxx

.... I found several entries for a SoundMax set
of upgrade drivers, packaged in a zip file
named AD1980_3538.zip

I tried downloading several times, from several
locations (World/US/Europe/China). In almost
every case, I got the full file. But in EACH of
those cases, both WinZip 8.1 and the un-zipping
abilities built-into Win XP told me that there were
problems with some of the files in the zip file.

Have others experienced this ?

Any pointers to a known-not-corrupt zip ?

Thanks.

Yes they are corrupt and ASUS needs to fix the problem. Have you tried
anything from the Soundmax site? http://www.soundmax.com/

Hi Cybrow

Thanks for the confirmation.

Unfortunately, Soundmax just points to manufacturers for
drivers, as seen here:

http://forms.analog.com/Form_Pages/soundMAX/soundMAXtechSupport.html

Is there any email address at Asus that I can use to report
this problem, and get a fix ? Somehow I have the inkling
they're non-responsive in such cases, but hopefully I'm
wrong.

Thanks again.

Stan

Probably same file as well here too then...

Try the the Dell drivers for the Optiplex GX260 line.. These are also
soundmax. May or may not work
