A7V8X - trying to run 400mhz ddr

hello folks,

have previously been using 256mb of PC2700 ram. today my 512mb of PC3200
arrived and have successfully installed. have got it running at 360mhz by
playing with the FSB. but i think to get optimal results, i need to use a
200mhz FSB and a 9X mulitplier. if i try this however, the monitor LED
flashes goes off and the monitor doesn't come on.

resetting send me to the bios.

any thoughts?

Hi, I'd be very surprised if you get this board to run at a FSB of 200mhz.
I've never heard of anyone doing this successfully and keeping it
stable......

Even those with a XP3200+ /w 200FSB?
 
Besides, I don't think the A7V8X supports that processor as it run
internally at 400mhz. As far as I understand 333 is the maximum this board
will take.....
