A7V8X-MX SE question

I was attempting to build a system for a friend of mine. I put a duron 1.6
on this board. When it post it just post at 1.2. I have looked through the
bios and have not seen a setting that would change this It has a set of dip
switches on the board and they are at the default position. All switches are
in the off positon, but by reading the manual if the cpu is unlocked the
switches have no effect. Does anyone know why I might be posting at just
1.2?
My other question is this, When I first cut the computer on it comes on and
immediately shuts down for a second, then comes right back on. I have tried
setting the ac auto start to off in the bios, it was on auto. It makes no
difference. Anyone have any idea how I might stop the cutting off after
start up?

I think I read where that board supports 66, 100, & 133 fsb. Might the
jumpers be set for 75 fsb? (1.2 /1.6 = 0.75!!!) HTH & PLEASE report back,
as I'm curious about building nearly identical systems for my business
clients, but didn't know about mobo's running the durons. Thx. sdlomi2

Excuse me. If set at 100 instead of 133, then 100/133X1600 =1203, ~your
reported speed. sdlomi2
