Anyone out there using this chip with multipliers different from the
15x133FSB the chip was designed for?

Over at the PC Perspective forums:
http://forums.pcper.com/forumdisplay.php?f=8

I've noted a number of people successfully using 10x200FSB with PC3200 which
makes perfect sense but haven't heard of anyone trying 12x166 with PC2700
which is my case.

I did manage to get 12x166 working and got Sandra 2004 memory scores of
2418/2263 vs. 1857/1854 @ 15/133 -- about a 24% improvement which is what
one would expect running a FSB of 333 vs. 266.

Along the way I did get a bootup failure which I now attribute to manual
DRAM settings I must have applied to tweak performance. But she's back
running using all the default memory settings.

I'd love some feedback from others using this combination --- or the CPU
with PC3200.

BTW, memory scores with the default CPU settings were 1476/1427 which are
61% slower!

Thanks ahead

Don

Are you getting voltage readings a little low, especially the 12v in the
bios being much lower than the 12v in the PCProbe?

Hi Ed,

Actually, 12V runs a tad high: at 12.096V. 3.3=3.344 however 5V=4.919.
Vcore = 1.728 which should be 1.65, I think??

Don

When I set vcore to 1.65 the bios reads 1.58 and PCProbe reads 1.68.
