Having some problems with my ASUS A7v333, just cant get these 1GB DIMMS to
be recognised and be stable.

I have a pair of Samsung PC2100 M312L2828DTO ECC Dimms, I presume these
dont work because they are ECC

Any ideas?

I hope you haven't fried anything!

Samsung info on unbuffered DDR modules starts here. I tried to use the search
engine but it wouldn't find your part number.

http://www.samsung.com/Products/Semiconductor/common/product_list.jsp?family_cd=DRM030202

Next I tried the registered DDR modules here:

http://www.samsung.com/Products/Semiconductor/common/product_list.aspx?family_cd=DRM030201

I finally found the module here:

http://www.samsung.com/Products/Sem.../RegisteredDIMM/M312L2828DT0/M312L2828DT0.htm

It is registered and ECC, so unlikely to work in an A7V333.

Apart from the other repsonse regarding type of Dimms I have 2xPC2700 512Mb
and they work best in slots 1 and 3.

I presume you have the ratio set for PC2100 (4:3 or something like that) and
are not overclocking the CPU and have default memory timings not turbo.
