I have a a7v333 motherboard. Recently, after changing the CPU fan and
rebooting, found out that socket 1 and 2 for the DDR ram detect only
half of the RAM.
If I put a 256MB card on socket 1 or 2 only 128MB is detected and the
rest of the ram on socket 2 and 3 is ignored.

Socket 3 however detects full size of RAM correctly. It looks like
only one "row" is detected on socket 1 and 2. Tried resocketting,
cleaning, reseating etc., Problem persists.

Any ideas ?

Thanks,

You & me, pal.

Only slot#3 is sure to read anything at all on the green
screaming *itch A7V333 - the mobo from HELL ! Designed by idiots, reviewed
by pimps, sold by
scoundrels and bought by fools. Cut your loses, pal. Best to drive a screwdriver
thru its corrupted, smoking black little silicon-on-taffy heart and buy
anything as a
replacement that starts with D8*5................

been there done that.
