Hi,

I just read in a Forum that a user had this with his Asus A7V333: The Board
was dead from one moment to the other. The green led was on, the rest of the
board was dead. This was strange because I had exactly the same with my
A7V333! Dead from one moment to the next with the led running.

Question:

Is this a well known problem with this board? Or was it just bad luck?

Is there anything I could do with the board? Maybe Asus would take it back
and repair it if it turns out that it's been a production run error?

Many thanks!!!

Could have been a bad production run. Contact Asus and request an RMA.

I suspect many boards are returned as defective while the real cause
lies elsewhere. I'm not say bad boards don't happen- just not as often
as reported. Are you absolutely sure your board is dead? Many of us are
A7V333 owners and would be happy to assist if you can provide more info.

Thanks for you help. I'm pretty sure the board is dead because I tried it
with 3 different power supply units and 2 different cases/power switches.

This was the Athlon 900 System from my mom. She reported one day that she
couldn't boot. At first when turning on the power switch, the CPU fan was
running for a short while. Everything else was dead. But now even the fan is
dead.

That's all I can say. If you need more info just ask.
