To cut a long story short...

The Operating System is Windows98se.

I can't print, using an Epson Stylus 880, through graphics packages
like Paint Shop Pro or Photoshop with my new built PC, but it will
print simple text using Notepad - what's going on ?

The printer works just fine with my other PC, but when I connect the
printer, either through USB or Parallel port to the A7V333, it crash
the PC when I try to print a picture - a hard reset is required to get
it working again.

The 2 PC are networked and if I have the printer connected to the
"old" PC and print from the "new" A7V333 PC it will print but the
A7V333 throws a wobbly and sometimes crashes.

I've tried old drivers, new drivers, fiddled with the BIOS printer
port setting but nothing works.

Anyone help ??

Thanks,
BP.

Tried any MS KB troubleshooting procs ?
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;313250 (general)
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;191949 (spool32)
It would help if you could record some info on the crash, such as
what module is involved.
There is also the obscure possibility it is a memory problem. If you
haven't done it already, download memtest86 v3.0 from memtest86.com and
test the memory in the computer.

Thanks for the tips but none of them worked.
The memtest did not report any problems.
No module errors are reported - it just hangs up.

Thanks again,
BP.
