I have had my mb for over a year now and it generally runs fine apart from
having a very sensitive AGP slot, which requires prescise positioning of the
graphics card to get it to work.

I currently run 512MB PC2100 Ram as when I tried to upgrade to 1024MB, I got
all sorts of crashes and system errors, which resolved when I removed the
extra memory.

Can anyone recommend which memory I should use in order to maximise the
boards capacity please.

Thanks

Ravi

Which OS are you using? Win98SE, for instance, can't use more than 512MB of
RAM or you get crashes.

WIN XP PRO, but now have HOME.
I'd say your power supply can't handle anymore ram. can you even boot
with 1024? if so try motherboard monitor and have it log voltages then
you can see if the PSU is struggling.

But I have a 400W PSU

Wattage is nothing if its not providing the amperage your
CPU/Video/HD/Periphs/USB is calling for.
Indeed. Get motherboard monitor downloaded and check your 3.3, 5 and
12v rails.

Personally I'll put my money on it your 3.3 rail is closer to 3v and
thats causing your problems.
