A7V133 - RAID Setup

Hey,

I've got an A7V133 rev 1.05, along with two WD hard drives (60gb and 80gb).

Can I use RAID on these drives?
And if so, can anyone point me to a place that will explain how to do it?

Also, I came across a page that had modified BIOS files that would give you
full RAID support on the A7V133.
Anyone have any experience with those?
Naturally I am very hesitant to try them. lol

Yes, RAID 0 will give you a total of 120GB of storage. 2x the smallest
drive size.

You don't need to modify anything. The board ships ready for RAID. I
ran it for a year on that board with zero trobles. Move a jumper on
the board to switch to the Fastrack BIOS feature that starts up in
RAID and you get a special menu for all the RAID settings at bootup.

I don't think it's worth doing if I'm going to lose drive space.

But the board only supports RAID 0 and 1 it says.
This modified BIOS was to enable 2 and 3 as well I think.

9 out of 10 SOHO users with RAID use RAID 0. The other types are going
to slow things down a fare amount.
The WD and other drives with 8MB cache are so fast they really make
RAID 0 almost obsolete.
When you RAID with any drive the onboard cache becomes disabled.
