The ASUS website looks like this is a workable combination. Has anyone
tried it? I currently have a 1000 Thunderbird OCd to 1.4 and I'd like to
upgrade but the board has been working flawlessly. I hate to give it up
but I'm looking for a bit more speed and proceessor power.

Thanks,

Yep, I have an AMD 2100 Palamino on an ASUS A7V133, works just fine. Just
make sure you have the latest BIOS 1009.

The biggest problem I've found is finding the darn thing (AMD Athlon2100
Palomino)
Not on sale here in Finland, at least..

Yes, why should you?

I would also look if you can upgrade this MB with a Barton Core AMD.
Beside my BX systems I have a KT133A from ECS. Buggy (2nd IDE Bug) but
fast.
I have found articles how to tune the voltage on MB "K7VZA3.0", to use
a Barton.

Also Thoroughbreds would make a speed up. 2400 or 2600XP
