A7N8X2.0-Deluxe Woes

My A7N8X-based system, even with the latest 1007 BIOS, won't POST with
Infineon PC3200 memory in it (HYB25D256800BT-5B) and plays the "System
Failed Memory test" via audio. The memory works fine in two other
systems. I've tried clearing the CMOS but that doesn't seem to help at
all. Has anyone else out there gotten this kind of memory to work in
this system, or know if it does in the newer -E ver?

most computer shops recommend to stay away from generic PC3200 on AMD
systems. The timings are too slow on generic 3200..PC2700 has faster
timings. As for the Infineon..sorry can't help you there..I put Infineon
2700 on an MSI and is alright
 
the fails mem post..does that happen every time you boot?
In some cases that is just the way the board is..I have disabled Post
Reporter...every time I accessed the BIOS and rebooted I got the fail mem
test...I am running OCZ PC32000 EL ram..the fail is just a quirk..does the
system boot fine and run ok after the message?
 
I have an a7n8x deluxe with a Barton and a gig of Infineon Ram and have
never had any problems with that brand.

I wish that were all it was.. It won't post at all--no video displayed,
etc.
 
I am having the exact same problem. I have single stick of Crucial
512mb PC2700 ddr memory. Is this a motherboard problem or memory
problem?

It's a memory compatibility issue I'm sure. The memory works fine in
two other systems. Also, it just so happens that mine works fine with a
Crucial 512mb PC2700 DDR module marked CT6464Z335.16T3--still sold
online last I checked.
