A7N8X-X shut down

Hello Group,
Last week I built up a new system on a A7N8X-X mobo.
Everything seems to work , untill about 10 to 15 seconds, then the system
shuts off.
The only thing that's wrong I believe is that I didn't use cooling paste
between the cpu (Athlon 2000), which came from another system, and the
cooling device.
Could that be the problem?
Thanks in advance, Gijs

Find some proper thermal paste, and do not apply too much.
The purpose of paste, is to displace trapped air between
silicon of your processor, and the heatsink. If you apply
excessive paste, a thick paste also functions as a thermal
insulator, so it would reduce the efficiency of the cooling
process.

There are instructions here, on how to apply paste.
Make sure the heatsink is oriented correctly - the
"contact patch" on the bottom of the heatsink should
be centered over top of the silicon die.

Quite likely..

Thanks for your reply Paul!
I hope tomorrow everything works ok.
I let you know. I have already bought the articsilver paste.
With all regards, Gijs
