I have just installed WindowsXP on my new PC, which has an ASUS A7N8X-X mobo
in it. I want to use the onboard sound, as I can't afford a soundcard right
now. I have installed the drivers from the ASUS CD, and I have sound. But
how do I enable bass and treble adjustments? They are greyed out in Windows'
sound-settings, so I can't adjust them. On the ASUS CD is an Audio-utility
called SoundStorm, but the CD don't install this on my WinXP, so I tried to
install it myself, but it don't wotk. Sndstorm.exe can't "initialize driver"
it says. The equlizer in Mediaplayer 9 works, but only in Mediaplayer :-(,
so my games is without big BOOM as there is no bass.
Which driver and/or Utility nust I have to get this onboard sound to work?

Have you installed the nForce chipset drivers from the CD yet? They
must be installed before the Soundstorm will work. It sounds as if your
currently using the generic Windows drivers. If you want the most up to
date drivers get them here and not the ones from Windows Update.

SoundStorm Audio is not for that board.
That board uses Realtek audio.
Soundstorm can only be installed on a pc that has the audio chip.
That board does not.
