a7n8x-x ddr 400?

the asus website, lists tested memory that works. yet locally its hard to
find the certain brands they list, any other known memory. that works? im
looking for 512 that can be bought locally. best buy compusa etc..

i did have a problem with an a7v333 board, finding memory that was
compatiable in it, that was a bitch and a half, i think i had to return 3 or
4 differernt brands of 2100 memory, before the board would boot up, or stop
freezing after the post screen.

any suggestions?

Last week Best(?) Buy had Kingston Hyperx PC4000 512 MB on sale for $129.99.
NewEgg.com was around $150.00 for the same ram.

I got one of them and so far it is working great in my A7N8X-D Rev. 2.00
motherboard.

I have an XP 2500+ running stable at 10.5 x 211 = 2221 MHz (according to
wCPUid and MBM).

It might go higher but I haven't tried it...........yet!

If you can find some Hyperx locally it might work for you.

Well, I'm using TwinMOS Twister DDR400 CL2 sticks (2x512MB) and they work
perfect.
They dont seem to be on that list, although there are a couple TwinMOS
sticks mentioned, but they're CL2.5, so I guess its not the Twister.
