My computer ,from time to time, switched off completly,no restart, just
switching off when using Poser or other 3D.I checked CPU temperature in BIOS
and it shows from 87-91degrees (194 F) (with open case) - way too much, and
29( 85 F) degrees for motherboard.
Asus monitor shows me only 52 degress for CPU (127 F).My fan is setup ok,it
spins 2500,and before my BIOS showed ok the same as asus monitor - around
52-55 degrees.

so...............is something wrong with temperature sensor on the board ?
Because it seems the board thinks CPU is much hotter than in fact it is.

Check the heatsink on the CPU. The bottom of the heatsink has a square
of metal, and the square must be oriented the right way to completely
touch the silicon die. Try rotating the heatsink 180 degrees, and
see if it lines up better that way.

I have an A7N8X Deluxe rev 2.0
I've quit trying to figure out the Asus temp issues...........
Just for kicks and hahas I just ran sandra and it tells me my board temp is
255.9 C and 492.7 F
My barton 3000+ has been running at a 3200+ multiplier and 207 Mhz memory
for many months and only shuts-down when some brat throws the main breaker
in the laundryroom to my apartment.
I run Q-fan on a half decent cooler(can't remember type)
Just felt and looked at it..........not too hot to hold.........and so dirty
I can't see the fins through the crud. I suppose I should clean
it....................
Anyway.....if your having shutdowns.... and you haven't managed to install
your heatsink backwards....just ignore the non-Asus temp readings and look
elsewhere.....probably your memory timings............
