I have this board and an a barton 2500+ Processor. I have tested this chip
to 2250mhz stable (prime95 for 24hours, 3dmark 2001SE looping Demo, memtest,
etc) However, when I try to run it at 200mhz fsb, even if I drop the
multiplier as low as 10.5 (2100mhz) it is completely unstable with errors in
prime 95 blue screens etc. I have ocz el pc3500 memory which I have tested
in memtest with 5-2-2-2 timings stable at 200mhz. I have set the timings to
6-3-3-2 according to ocz for 200mhz. I can only assume it is the chipset.
I'm currently running at 180mhz x 12 for 2160mhz completely stable. Correct
me if I'm wrong, but I thought they fixed the chipset issues with the 2.0
revision of this board. Another thing. My board came with the 1003bios on
it. I updated to 1005 and this seemed to make the situation worse. Are
there any issues with this bios. I have an ocz gladiator heatsink with the
delta screamer on my chip so my temps under full load never get above 43C.
The Specs are to follow

Antec truepower 430 w power supply
Athlon XP2500+
512 Meg OCZ EL PC3500 Memory
Geforce FX 5200 Ultra Video Card
Using all onboard options

Memory is in sync with fsb
timings are 6-3-3-2
cpu interface - aggressive
cpu voltage at 1.7
memory voltage at 2.7

Any suggestions as to why I'm having this problem would really be
appreciated

My non-Dlx came with 1003 as well, been using 1004 for about a month now
with no problems at all. Heard others cry about 1005 too, have your
tried 1004?

A7N8X (non-dlx) v2.00, Barton 2800+ @ 210x11, Corsair PC3200LL @ 6-3-2-2

I've got a revision 1.04 Deluxe running the 1004 BIOS and I have no problems
whatsoever at 200MHz FSB, even with (relatively) cheap Samsung PC3200... Try
upping the vcore a little more ~ 1.7v seems a little low to me, I needed
1.775v to get my 166MHz XP2600+ stable at 200x11.5. If that don't help then
pffftt, ye got me...!
Dave.

No I haven't tried 1004. I was under the mistaken belief that I should go
with the latest bios. I neglected to put in my first post that I have the
deluxe model. I suppose I should be happy where I'm at but with the
revision 2 board the 200mhz settings (and above) aren't supposed to be an
issue. My old revision 1.04 board was better. It probably is a bios issue.

Thanks

Please let me know if 1004 bios fixes fsb issue

Well, it did on my 1.04 board... your revision 2.0 is a different story.
Always worth a try I guess...

Had *exactly* the same experience myself with BIOS 1005. Changed to the
1004 Uber BIOS and can now get up to 210FSB without problems. Suggest
you give it a try.
