A7N8X - how to update NForce2 drivers?

When I use the drivers I get off the asus website it goofs up my PC. If
uninstall the current drivers things go haywire...should I install the new
ones over the old. Is there a need for the new ones? What's the deal.
 
Generaly unless the newer drivers offer some sort of improvment I woudlnt worry
about it. However if the drivers from asus muck stuff up you can try
downloading directly from nvidia's website.

Try the Nforce2 driver form Nvidia site. I just install them right over
the older ones.

FWIW, with the latest drivers installed I noticed CPU usage is less when
HDDs are in use (few %) but everything else seemed to slow down just a
tiny bit. I wouldn't update them unless they fix something thats broken.
