ok so i bought this motherboard to update my computer and installed it and
all was well, but after about a week of running it i changed the cpu speed
because the setting was too high and was making my computer crash after
every reboot. so after changing that my computer has never started again
since. i start the computer and the fans spin but there is no POST beeps and
nothing is appearing on the monitor, also the post reporter for stops
talking to me. so i put it down for a fault board si i sent it back and i
got an email from ebuyer saying that they had found a fault and was going to
replace it. when i finally got it back again the same problem. so i
researched it and tried alsorts of different things can go wrong with it. i
tried all of them and only 1 thing got me closer to the solution of the
problem and that was starting the computer up with no CPU in it but all that
did was make my post reporter say "No CPU installed". but still no beeps and
no screen.

any ideas on how to fix this would be greatly appreciatd.

thank you in advance.

When you set the clock rate, did you notice that the clock
rate is just half of the FSB value ? If you want FSB400, the
clock gets set to 200MHz. Maybe you set it twice as high as
you had intended ?

If the processor got damaged, it might be an idea to test
your processor in another known-working computer.

With this kind of "swap" testing, there is always a danger
of a "domino" fault - for example, if the processor was
bad for some reason, it could also damage whatever motherboard
it is plugged into next. Just so you understand the (ever
so slight) risks.
