A7N8X-E Deluxe - USB 2.0 and XP SP1??

I am confused. When I put in the mb driver disk, it installed some XP USB
fix. But at some point I saw a message saying USB 2.0 will not work unless
XP SP1 is installed (also says that on the nvidia site, in the unified
drivers section). Do I really need SP1, or does that USB fix amount to what
SP1 would accomplish?

There is little reason to not install SP1, except maybe download time.

USB2 has native support in XP SP1.

On my install Cd there ARE USB2 drivers and it says how to install them but
as you need to install Windows XP before you can even install anything from
any other cd, and that most windows XP cd's have SP1 as patr of the install
setup there is not much of a reason to faff about.
 
I have an XP non SP1 CD..I assume that is what you have..you are further off
to put SP1 on and gain the support it offers
 
I just installed the USB2 drivers from the A7N8X Cd, they are the microsoft
ones that are part of SP1.
