Do I really need to install this? I saw it on the nvidia site, but have no
idea if it is needed. I am usaing XP Pro for what it is worth.

Not if you don't want to use ANY of your hardware, but I would suspect that
you do.

The updates are significant.

I didn't install it and everything works well. Is that to say that the mb cd
had those unified drivers?

IF you have High speed Internet with DHCP ISP you'll have problem if you
don't install nforce drivers because WinXP assign the same MAC adress to
every Nvidia MAC, so the DHCP server will try to give you an already use
IP... Anyway, it's always a good move to install real driver instead of XP
generic one...

The Asus 1.16 drivers come with the motherboard. However, they are grossly
out of date - if you play games you will find that there are many fixes for
the sound (usually EAX). The drivers are updated for a reason, they either
add useful features, bug fixes, stability improvements or something else.
nForce 3.13 is the only driver I can recommend for nForce2 boards,
especially those using the soundstorm.
