I know that there is a driver package to install the Marvel gigabit
lan but nowhere on the cd or the site does it show the driver for the
realtec 10/100 lan . Does Windows XP pro automatically pick up this
lan driver??? If not what is the correct procedure to install both lan
ports. Thanks much ....WIZ
The RealTek port is the Nvidia Southbridge (chipset) MAC (media access
controller) plus an external RealTek chip that converts from MII to
signals suitable for the Ethernet connector:

This page has the answer:
http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/phyDesc.aspx
"The Ethernet hardware consists of two parts: a PHY chip,
and a MAC chip. It's the MAC chip that requires the drivers.
RTL8201x is a PHY only chip which does NOT need any driver at
all. If you have RTL8201x in your computer system, there must
be another MAC chip in the system too. Most likely, the MAC chip
is embedded in the chipset. Please contact the board or compute
provider to find out which MAC chip is in your system and how
to get the drivers for it."
From that explanation, your Nvidia chipset drivers should cover
the Realtek ethernet port.
