a7n8x deluxe, How do i turn off the vocal error message as i get the
following message when playing games only "system failed cpu test".

I have tried different cpus and they r all the same error.
Its not overclocked in any way and still does it on default settings.Even
have newest bios version and temps are 25oc idle and 39 on load.

Any ideas welcome ,thanks very much indeed.

In the Bios settings under advanced bios features, POST complete Report
[Enabled], set to Disabled

Speech POST Reporter[Enabled], set to disabled
Also if you use a soundcard and not the onboard sound then you will not hear
it as it only comes out the onboard line out/speaker connector(socket).

Hi,

a weird problem.. when for example using winmx, often my connection
resets.... I can even see the netcard icon buttom right of the screen says
"disconnected".. this only takes 2-4 seconds and the connection is
restored...

Anyone else experiencing these "netcard dropouts" ?

Thanks,
jorgen

According to ASUS FAQ...
http://www.asus.com/support/faq/faqmodel.aspx?ModelName=A7N8X/A7N8X Deluxe

FAQ: A7N8X disconnects from network frequently

Q: I have a LAN problem. Whenever I play online game, after about half
an hour, my A7N8X system drops connection. Why?

A: Please update your system BIOS to the latest ones. For PCB rev.1.0X,
please go for BIOS version 1004. For PCB rev. 2.0X, please update it to
C1005. After updating BIOS to the latest version, please go to the BIOS
setup, under Advanced Chipset Configuration, set the FSB spread spectrum
as "Disable." In this way, the disconnection error will disappear.

Thanks, but unfortunately, this feature was already disabled.

What about the Nvidia LAN drivers, have you tried updating those if not
already using them?
