I notice the Nvidia chipset now promotes Ultra400. What is this
designation, and does only apply to the Release 2 of this board?

Thanks Ed:

I know that with the BIOS revision 1004, my board is capable of 400 FSB,
(although it won't run my Barton2500 at 400). Is Ultra400 more than this
400 spec? Is there anythingelse that advances performance of this model
over the release 1x?

Thanks again,

Alan

My XP2500 Barton is working fine @ 1.75Vcore and at 11X 200FSB
with two Crutial XMS-3500 (1.8V 6-2-2-2) in duel channel.

From memory someone mentioned there is a certain chip that is different
on some early revisions of the board. Luck of the draw if you got a good
chip or not. This thing is stable to 203FSB, fine by me, but would love to
get
my hands on a V2 board for 220FSB+ etc just for bragging rights :)
Probably going to do the voltage mod :| when extra speed is really needed,
if ever.

AFAIK all Ultra 400 boards start at V2.00, doesn't matter what brand
mobo. v1.xx boards do not officially support a 400 FSB.

Bios 1004 will give 400DDR support to that board. Altough I never had the
time to test it ...

Thanks for the input,
I must have one of those chips or something that is holding this back. My
board was a Jan 2003 production, I am quite satisfied with it but ofcourse
it would be nice to tweak a 400 fsb out of it at the rated clock speed.
11.0.

I will have to be content here, but I am also considering the Abit NF board
as the next option. (I have other machines that I could install the slower
of the two)

Thanks once again,

Alan

Some user report good results , some bad, luck of the draw I suppose.
I waited for the official 400 boards cause I knew they would be coming,
it was only a matter of time, the k7 core was designed for a 400 FSB
since day one. ;p
