A7N8X Disable ...

I wonder if i should disable all the devices: usb ports, lan, sound, that
i'm not currently using , i'm running Winxp. Someone told me that my machine
would run much more faster and smoother, since will eat less cpu
resources...

Most of that stuff, if not in use really isn't using any CPU cycles.

That said, I disabled my LAN, Firewire, parallel port, and COM2. It doesn't
make any noticable difference, I just figured I wouldn't bother with having
to load the drivers.

I don't think you would see much difference.
But I always disable any on board devices
that I'm not using so when I install a card the
interrupt sharing is kept to a minimum.
But this is more a matter of reliability than
speed.
