A7N8X Deluxe wont restart

When I try to do a restart, the system shuts down then sits with the
monitor blank and and the system still running. This also happens
after a program install restart. Any help would be appreciated.

Happens to me too..
I think the IDE Controller on these boards are screwy cause it when it does
this then the HD lite stays on for a long time and then eventually just goes
off (time out?).

Some people suggest changing the battery in the system to a new one will
help but I dont see how that could be it, anyhow I will watch this thread to
see if anyone has an answer..

Also, Mine does this when I save something in the bios and try to restart,
does yours do it then too?

Could you both provide some detail on hardware? Interested in PSU installed
(overall rating, brand and 12v, 5v rail ratings) and video card installed.
Also CPU model, and other peripherals.
The reason I ask is that the symptom you describe is frequently found to be
the result of inadequate power at the time your systems are drawing the
most.
 
had this on several of these boards fitted with thoroughbred 2000+ or barton
2500+ and 400w Q-tec power twin fan PSUs.
