a7n8x deluxe sata doesn't warm boot!

I have an A7N8X-Deluxe revision 2.0 board with a single seagate sata drive and several IDE drives. Booting from the SATA works only when the pc is switched on (cold boot). If I reboot it (warm boot) it hangs after selecting a boot device. I just says "booting for CD" even though no CD is in the DVDROM.

Is this a known issue and is there a fix? Using BIOS 1007.

How is your boot sequence? It shold be "First Boot Device [scsi]"
"Second -----||--- [cd-rom]"
"Third -----||---- [floppy]"

And you could also set your ide hard-drives to none in "Main" menu

Do not do this to cd-rom's or dvd-rom's

I don't think it's a known problem, sounds a bit strange. What is your boot
order set to?

I am having a similar problem to yours. Same motherboard Rev. 2.0 BIOS
1007. When trying to boot from the SATA drive it hangs on a warm boot
when it says "Verifying DMI Pool Data ............"
Cold boot will always boot correctly.
Booting from the IDE drive always boots fine.

I've searched several forums today and haven't found anything.

A7N8X-Deluxe Rev 2.0 BIOS 1007
Athlon XP 3000+
512MB PC3200
Seagate 120GB SATA
WD 128GB IDE
 
I had virtually the same problem. It went away when I replaced the
MoBo (which also had a sound problem, and was replaced under warranty
for that reason).
