A7N8X Deluxe Rev. 2.0 & Serial ATA

Hi,

I just recently purchased the A7N8X Deluxe, and I am very happy with it so
far. I did have a question that I haven't figured out yet though. Is there a
way to disable the Serial ATA Raid setup message that shows up every time I
boot the computer? I have tried to enter the configuration but I am guessing
that you have to have Serial ATA drives to enter setup. This message is
causing any problems, but it would probably shave about 10 sec. off my boot
time. I don't want to delete it completely, because some day I would like to
use the feature, but not right now...

Thanks for the assistance, and I apologize if this has already been answered
several times. There are too many messages in this group for me to look
through them all...

There's a jumper just below and to the right of the battery on the
motherboard called sata_en1 that must be changed. This is showned on page 19
of the user's manual.
 
Thanks... I must have totally missed that... I'll have to look again when I
get home.

Hey Chuck,
There is a jumper that you can set that will disable it. Look under
section 2.7 "Jumpers" on page 19 of the manual. It's near the
battery. By default it is on pins 1&2 so put it on 2&3 and that should
do it.
 
Thanks, I just looked right passed it heading towards the BIOS section... I
figured it must be in there somewhere. Now I can't grumble about people not
reading manuals...:)
