Hi,

I bought a new A7N8X recently and had no problems at all ... until
yesterday.

My config:

A7N8X deluxe
2x256MB DDR RAM
GeForce MX 440
AMD Athlon XP 2100+

When I try to copy lots of data over the network (I use the internal 3COM
adapter) or do some other things (the problem seems not to be reproducable)
the screen gets blank for half a second or less. After that the taskbar
or a window or something else on the screen get´s garbled and the 3COM
adapter is not able to connect to my network anymore. It´s not disabled
or disconnected, it just does not work.

I tried a complete reinstallation of my Windows XP Pro system - no change.

I am using the latest Nvidia drivers for the video apapter. Using the latest
NVidia chipset drivers didn´t help either.

Any ideas?

Cheers,
Malte

Reinstall the 3Com drivers or use the latest ones from the 3Com
website? The NVidia drivers don't include 3Com drivers.

Seems to be a problem with the 440MX - I lowered the speed from 200MHz
to 133MHz altough there were no errors with Memtest. I read in another
thread that somebody had the same problem (same config). Seems that I
need a better graphics adapter ...

Just checking if its a GeForce 4 MX 440, as my onboard 3com works,
