Hi,
I just tried to update the NVidia drivers to the new released 3.13 for
Windows XP. As stated in the read-me file, I disabled Norton Antivirus.
When trying to start the driver setup by double-clicking, the small
installshield window appears, the hourglass appears for an instance and
that's it. No setup, nothing. No entry in the Task-Manager...
Anyone else expereinced something like that or knows what's wrong?
I just installed each driver manually (in Device Manager - right click
on each device to be updated and select the path to the directory with
the unpacked NVidia files), which was successful. Reboot, everything is
working. Th only thing is that I cannot access the NVidia Sound Control
Panel anymore. It is placed in the system tray and usually, I can access
it with a double click. But again: The hourglass appears for an
instance and that's it. No control panel, nothing. No entry in the
Task-Manager... My 4-speaker setup is still working fine, but without
being able to access the Control Panel.
Any hints?
Best regards,
-Gernot
