Same drive, new problem.
I have an external (WD 80GB) drive in an external case connected via USB
2.0. On occasion the drive is "missing" from they system, either after
continued uptime or on occasion during drive access. I must unplug the USB
or power cable and replug to get the drive to show up again.
Any idea what causes this, and more importantly, how to correct it?
A7N8X Deluxe, 1005 BIOS
Athlon XP 2100
1GB PC333 RAM
2 X WD Raptor HHDs (Striped on SATA)
External 80GB WD drive in generic case.
Windows XP
Other USB periphs plugged into rear ports:
Keyboard (w/mouse plugged into kbd)
UPS
USB Hub w/5 1.x devices
Ports 5&6 run to front of case and are unused
