I've had a rough time trying to install a new Audigy2 in my Asus A7N8X
(1.04). This machine has been running fine since last December, when I
first built it, using an AMD X2400+, an ATI Radeon 9500pro and 1,024mb RAM.
I have Windows XP-pro(sp1). I have the 1007 bios.
I disabled the onboard sound in BIOS first. After re-booting I installed
the drivers from the CD and the process hung. After waiting 10-15 minutes I
rebooted the machine. From that point on I have been unable to either
uninstall or re-install the software. Every time I get an error message
that says: "Unhandled Exception / Error number 0x80040201 / An event was
unable to invoke any of the subscribers"
Any clues as to what's going on?
Thanks.
