Anyone managed to install and successfully run the Aero 7+ with the A7N8X DL
board. Tried today but wouldn't boot - nothing. Refitted AMD retail sink and
all OK again.

The Aero 7+ when fitted was right up against the boards capacitors and I
suspect they were probably shorting across. Was worried I might have blown
the board or CPU (or both)

Also does the fans molex need to be connected as well as the 3 pin lead,
bearing in mind there is no molex on the AMD retail fan

Thanks in anticipation.

As a rule, if it's got a molex it needs connecting. Are you sure the
3-pin connector really has *three* leads? Usually with fans like this,
the 3-pin connector only has the sensor lead connected so's the mobo can
report the fan speed - the power comes via the molex.

Just checked mine - approx 3-4mm to capacitors near the north bridge.

Is the Aero 7+ correctly seated?
You could (very carefully) slightly push the capacitors away from the
processor.

You do need the molex (to power the fan)
The 3 pin is to monitor the RPM
