Q: How do I disable onboard VGA on A7N266-VM so that I can use other AGP
or PCI VGA card?

A: Please set "Primary VGA BIOS" to [AGP VGA Card] or [PCI VGA Card]
under Advanced->PCI Configuration menu in BIOS according to the VGA card
you wish to install.

If it is an AGP card, just plug it in. If it is a PCI card, go into the
BIOS setup and set it to boot initialize the PCI card first - which is the
default on most Asus boards.

On PC startup hit the Delete key until you hear beeping, the PC will then
startup into the BIOS setting page.

Using the arrow keys navigate to 'Advanced options', then down to 'Primary
VGA BIOS', hit enter using the arrow keys highlight 'AGP VGA Card' and hit
enter.

Then hit F10 on your keyboard to save and exit, in the confirmation box that
pops up go to yes and hit enter again.

The PC will reboot and you will need to be ready to install your new video
cards drivers.

Have fun.

I just posted them and emailed a copy to you.

Thank you All !!!!!!!! I've done this but there is another problem. As
you know I 've got XFX GF FX 5200 128 DDR TV-out. Me problem is:

1- My system turns on and I have a picture on my monitor up until the
windows desktop appears. At the moment the desktop would normally load
the monitor goes black. I found answer for it:

An unsupported resolution or refresh rate is loading. To correct this
issue follow the below steps: -Turn off your computer -Wait ten
seconds and turn the computer back on -Immediately after powering the
system on start tapping the F8 key until you are presented with a menu
- After the Windows startup menu appears choose the option for safe
mode then press the enter key. -After Windows has booted into safe
mode, open the Display properties control panel. -Click the settings
tab then click the apply button. -Restart Windows -Windows will now
start normally, but with 16 colors. -Install any necessary drivers for
your monitor -Again, open your Display Properties control panel and
select the settings tab -Adjust the resolution and color depth to your
desired configuration (Consult your monitor documentation for
supported modes) then click apply (Windows may need to restart to
apply the changes). I'VE DONE THIS

2- My system continually crash after installing my new XFX graphics
card
Answer:

If your graphics card is an AGP card, make sure your motherboard meets
the AGP 2.0 specification. If you are not sure if your motherboard is
AGP 2.0 compliant, check with your motherboard manufacturer. Make sure
you have the latest Chipsert drivers ( WHICH ONE I'DONT KNOW I'VE
GOT chipset-win2kxp103u) and BIOS installed for your motherboard
(contact your motherboard/system manufacturer for details). If you are
upgrading a graphics card, make sure the drivers from your previous
graphics card are uninstalled completely. Please contact the
manufacturer of your previous graphics card to find out how to
properly uninstall the drivers. If the drivers are not uninstalled
completely, they can conflict with other installed drivers, and slow
down the performance of your graphics card. Make sure that there are
no programs running in the background that can affect the stability of
your system. Virus protection programs, peer-to-peer software, and
crash guard utilities tend to affect the stability of your system when
playing 3D-intensive applications. Disable these utilities and any
other programs before you run any 3D applications or games. Last but
not least, with more devices being included in today's PC systems, it
forces system builders to install components that share IRQ's with
other devices. Some components would become unstable when sharing
IRQ's and can cause the system lock up. For verification purpose,
please click on the Start button -> select Programs -> select ->
Accessories -> select System Tools, then choose System Information.
Click the plus '+' sign next to Hardware Resources to expand the list
and then click on IRQs. Look for your graphics card on the list.
Generally, the graphics card should have its own IRQ that does not
share with any other device. The only thing that should be sharing the
same IRQ with the graphics card is the “IRQ holder for PCI steering.â€
If you have anything else sharing the same IRQ with the graphics card,
you must change that device's IRQ assignment. The easiest way to do
this is to simply move the device that is sharing the IRQ with the
graphics card to a different PCI slot. Some motherboards also allow
you to force an IRQ. Check with your motherboard manufacturer to see
if this feature is available on your motherboard. I'VE DONE THIS. I
INSTALLED LATEST 55.03 DRIVERS FOR GRAFIC CARD.

3 - When installing my new AGP card the computer recognises it but
when it restarts the windows screen comes up but then the computer
hangs what could this be?

Answer:

It is due to Windows standard Intel GART driver installing when the
AGP card is first installed, if you run the CD that comes with the
motherboard and install the GART driver required the card should work
once restarted
( I'm not sure about this one I installed chipset-win2kxp103u
drivers and I didn't installed win2kxp103, win2kxp107c drivers for
this motherboard maybe this is the problem)

My computer:
Windows XP
300 WAT PS
Maxtor 60 and 250 GB
Creative Soundblaster
Liteon cd-rw
GF 5200 128 ddr Tv-out

That is it. if you know what the problem is just repost message.Thank
you ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
