We were at a wedding in Farnham a week ago, and we managed to catch some of the Farnborough Airshow which was going on nearby. There was a Airbus A380 doing some surprisingly nimble aerial acrobatics! I managed to get a video of it coming in to land over our heads :)

(Video taken on my S7)

We usually do RIAT, but missed it this year, and they had the new F35-B. :(

I'd love to have seen the F35! They had it at the airshow, but we were only able to catch a couple of hours so just missed it :(.

Crazy to think that an F35B costs 1/4 billion USD!

They should go back to simple planes like this one -

Sign me up! Think I might need to get my spine fused first though, otherwise I might pop all the other discs :wall:

Holy hell that really does look fantastic!

Another vid here:

That. Looks. Incredible.

Actually been wanting to visit Moscow for a while now... might have to save up for a bit longer if this trip featured on the itinerary

Yes I've been wanting to go to the Mach Loop for some time too....

It is a strange feeling being on the edge of a mountain and having fast jets flying below you!
We visited about 20 years ago and the experience stays with you a long time, a thrilling time.
But make sure you get a flying day other wise its counting sheep on the hillside!!!

I wonder what the sheep make of it - they don't really seem phased!

Those videos are astonishing! Can't wait to see it with my own eyes. I always like to see the wingtip vortices :)

Oh and the end of the second video made me laugh

Indeed! although it did make him look a bit like a terrorist waiting to fire an RPG at one of them!

I wonder what the pilots must think of all the loons sat up in a field waiting for them to go tearing by....?
