Just had a go with Access 2007 and quite like it, especially the fresh new
screen design. However this is completely spoilt by the tired old grey combo
box and command buttons, as well as most of the dialog boxes. Makes the whole
lookand feel, well, amatuerish.

Are there any plans to update these items in the final release?

I realise I could use data access pages and themes, but I have many databases
that are working perfectly using forms, and I really don't want to re-develop
using pages (I don't think that the code behind many of them would translate
very well either). Using desktop themes does not work as each PC running the
db could have a different theme set.

It just looks very odd when you open up old grey forms in the new pale blue
environment!

No, my screen shots are NOT data access pages. I was just pointing out that
in a2003, you can enable the
"use themed"controls. Those screen shots were NOT modified, but ONLY the
themes option was turned on...

no code modifying occurs in that series of screen shots. Those are regular
access forms, not data access pages...

For the most part, I do use the default colors, and they are somewhat nicer
then the older battle ship gray (as those screen shots show).
