I have a password set on my simple database. I went to change the password
and when I opened exclusively, the database that opened was an older version.
How can I have the current version running, but when I want to change the
password, I get an older version that comes up? Is there a solution to
change the password on the current database that I am using?

That doesn't make any sense. You must be choosing to open the older
version.

What steps are you taking? What makes you believe it is older?

The form that opens up when I open exclusivley is an older version and
doesn't look liek the one I am using now. If I open the database by double
clicking the icon, I type my password and the newest version comes up. If I
close it, and hit file, open, selct open exlcusivley, a version with the old
form pops up.

From your description, you must be opening a different file. You say you
open in the first case by 'double clicking the icon'. This sounds like it
might be an 'icon' on the desktop. If that is so, right-click it and look
at the properties. The target will tell you the mdb it is opening. I think
you'll find when you use the File, Open Exclusively, you are choosing a
different location.
