A WEBSITE LINK FROM WITHIN A PDF FILE WON'T OPEN

Hi, i can't figure out why a web link from within a pdf file wont take
me to that page; rather, it goes to my home page.
How can i fix this?

If you told us what web browser and what PDF reader you were using it
would help us help you. It would help us even more if you could point
us to the PDF file you're talking about.
