A way to invoke BSOD on purpose?

Can anyone tell me a command-line command that would actually invoke a
legitimate BSOD, without causing any permanent damage? I'll take
either variety of: 1) being able to get rid of it with a keystroke, or
2) locking the system up, requiring reboot.

TIA

Here is something (untried!) I picked up from this newsgroup
some time ago:
[HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\i8042prt\Parameters]
"CrashOnCtrlScroll"=dword:00000001
Once you've added this value, restart the PC, then test it by holding
down the right-hand Ctrl key and pressing the ScrollLock key twice.

Hmm, may try that.)

In the meantime, you could create a shortcut to this screensaver:

It depends on whether you use PS/2 or USB keyboard.

haven't tried it but they mention one thing called NotMyFault another
called StartBlueScreen by nirsoft

NotMyFault seems to be a GUI thing, a screenshot is here
http://blogs.microsoft.co.il/blogs/sasha/archive/2007/08/11/Debugging-and-Investigation-Tools.aspx

StartBlueScreen may be what you want
http://nirsoft.net/utils/start_blue_screen.html
"This utility, just as it sounds, allows your to crash the Windows
operating system by initiating a Blue Screen of Death according to 5
parameters that you specify from command-line. "
Website says you have to be administrator (or I guess run it as
administrative)
