A way to force Outlook Contact's "File As" to be populated

When some new Contacts are created via a synchronization, the new contact in
Outlook has a value in the "File As" field, but the "Full Name" field is
blank. You have to go bact to the "File As" field and actually select the
value from the dropdown list. Is there a way to prevent or automate this
action?
 
I can't think of a worse way to try to create a new Outlook Contact than by
synchronization.
Your question belongs in the appropriate synchronization group. It's not an
Outlook issue.
