I have a question regarding a virus problem tha I am experiencing
with my IE 6.0 in a Windows 98 2nd Ed. program.
When I visit a web page that I created on a server that I am paying for web
page space,
my anti-virus program always gives me a warning message, telling me that
a virus has been detected and allowing me to quarintine it.
Sometimes, a 2nd one is discovered by my anti-virus program but eventually,
after I quarintine them all, my web page is displayed by IE.
When I am first attempting to view my web page, by entering its address
in the address box, down at the bottom of my IE window, on the status bar,
the Internet address of the virus that is attempting to be downloaded,
is displayed. Its address is:
http://213.159.117.138/dl/adv10.php
Don't click on that address, or I fear that you'll experience the same
thing....!
My anti-vrus program tells me that some of the viruses that were downloaded
to my Temporary Internet folder, are Trogin Horses,
but some of them are listed with a name of MHTMLRedir. Exploit
Sometimes but not always, when this happens, I get a pop-up that asked me if
I wish to
download some free software. Ofcourse, I respond by clicking the NO button,
but the pop-up won't go away and then I have to close the task completely
down,
which shuts down my IE browser program.
I have a pop-up blocker on my PC, so normally, I never get any pop-ups...!
And here's am important piece of related info....
When I visit other websites, some of which I have created on other servers,
and
some that are just general web sites, I never have these problems...!
Is there something about the web page space on this server that is creating
this problem for me.
I examined the space on that server, and found no files that I didn't place
there.
Or maybe the web page that I created has modified....Could that be the
problem?
I need you HELP. Please give me some thoughts or idea as to how to resolve
this matter...!
