a virus can turn off the computer??

Hi, My name is Salva.
I have a problem and I dont know how to solve it.
When I turn on my computer it works perfectly till I get conected to
internet, in a few minutes a mesage from NT/authority/system tell my that
there is a remote procedure and my computer will be turned off in 1 minute,
after this time the computer turns of itself.

www.google.com 'Blaster' or 'MSBLAST'.

The solution is a) enable your firewall, b) install the update(s) that
MS released back in July 2003.
 
When you get the shutdown message...

Go to; Start --> Run
enter; shutdown -a

This will halt the shutdown and give you a chance to Download the McAfee worm removal tool,

and install the following patch for the RPC/RPCSS Buffer Overflow Vulnerability that is
addressed by Microsoft Security Bulletin MS03-39 http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=824146

You also need a FireWall. If you don't patch the PC and not use a FireWall then you will
just be re-infected.

I also suggest the installation of *ALL* MS Critical Updates ASAP.
